How is it done?
We will reprogram the information that is held on your computer chip to optimize and improve power output without compromising fuel economy. The technical stuff car manufacturers call the on-board computer, the Electronic Control Unit (the ECU). This monitors and controls ignition timing and the fueling across a range of driving conditions. The F1tuning is programmed to adjust the timing and fueling maps to optimized performance.

How will my car improve after fitting a tuning chip?
F1 Tuning Corporation has developed a unique set of applications for most modern cars, including Non Turbos, Turbos, and Turbocharged diesels. Our service for vehicles with aspirated engine remaps the on board computer, which gives vehicles up to 10% more power. Other annoying traits such as hesitation and poor throttle response that can occur on computer controlled cars are eliminated making the car more lively and responsive. This makes in town driving a pleasure, requiring less gear changing with a smooth and progressive engine response. On Turbo cars there are impressive gains of up 25% more power and torque. Driving pleasure is increased through less gear changing and you will feel that your car is more lively and responsive. F1 Tuning Corporation does this by increasing the manufacturers boost limit and with the reprogrammed computer matching the car’s ignition timing and fueling, long term reliability of the engine is retained. Turbocharged diesel tuning includes reprogramming of the computer matching the fueling to the increased manufacturer’s boost pressure, giving impressive gains of up to 30% more torque and more power. This adds to driving pleasure, requiring less gear changing, making the car more lively and responsive. There is also the potential for improved fuel economy.

What guarantee can you offer my car?
Our promise to you is that with our established reputation as world leaders in engine management system tuning we are convinced you will be happy with your F1tuning Corporation service, so much so, that if you are not happy within five days of modification, the fitting center will refund the cost of the Engine Performance Tuning less the fitting charge. This is our five day customer service guarantee.

How do I get my car chipped?
There are three ways to have your car chipped. The first and fastest way is to drive your car to our location. We can also arrange for a technician to meet you at a mutually agreeable location or arrange to have your ECU shipped to us. If you choose the third option, we will provide you with information on how to remove your ECU, ship it to us and provide a date your reprogrammed ECU will be shipped back.

How does this affect the warranty of my car?
An Engine Performance Tuning doesn’t affect the warranty of your car.
It is illegal for a dealership to void your warranty based solely on the fact that you have installed an aftermarket product. For information regarding denial of warranty coverage, go to the SEMA website.
